Bible Translations
For ages, the Bible has remained an all-time bestseller, having been translated into more languages than any other book in history. It has also impacted more lives in the world than any individual, literature, government or religion ever known to man.
With over 7,000 languages in the world, the Bible has been fully translated into 511 languages. A total of 1,295 languages have been translated into Testaments while 844 have been made available in portions. This leaves 4,450 languages without any translation.
Despite the assiduous efforts being deposited into the translation of the Bible, there is still great work to be done to give more people access to God’s Word in the language of their hearts.
Rhapsody Bible Translation Initiative
The Rhapsody of Realities Devotional Bible Translation Initiative is an evangelical movement with the sole purpose of translating the Rhapsody Bible into every spoken language in the world.
The universal impact of the distributed Word encapsulated in the Rhapsody Bible, several billions of souls around the world who do not understand or communicate the English Language.
Their intense hunger is to have this Life Manual; ‘’The Rhapsody Bible’’ in their indigenous language.
This earnest demand is a fulfilment of God’s Word and yet another evangelical vista for us as a Bible Organization.
Our Publisher, reiterated that the Bible is a big material with difficult expressions that require a lot of work and that God has empowered us to get it done.
1. To leverage the translations that are available and work with existing publishers.
2. To discover non-existing Bible translations and work on them. In view of these, we have created 3 major platforms for many to connect with the vision of our publisher to reach the world with God’s Word. Therefore, we would appreciate your participation in the following:
Research Development
This is the fundamental and pace-setting aspect of the Rhapsody Bible translation Initiative. The scope is wide and it involves various technical and procedural tactics that we are poised to employ as we translate the Rhapsody Bible to different languages of the world. Partners are welcome to assist in the different phases of our research and development work for new Rhapsody Bible Translations.
Rhapsody Bible Production
Production is a very sensitive and strategic task in the Bible translation project. This is so because of the huge financial implication in Bible production, the international logistics demands, varying international contractual details, issues of warehousing, etc. Opportunities are available for individuals and groups to partner with us in the production of various Rhapsody Bible Translations.
Rhapsody Bible Distribution
Distribution is an integral part of the Bible Translation Initiative. It involves the allocation of produced Bibles to various nations of the world. Logistically, it entails various complex stages from shipping, clearing, and warehousing to hotel accommodation, etc. These functions require a high financial commitment. Opportunities abound for individuals and groups to get involved in the distribution of Rhapsody Bibles to nations around the world through this platform.
PROJECTS IN FOCUS
The need to reach more people all over the world has led to the translation of the English version of Rhapsody of Realities Devotional Study Bible to other languages. Right now, we are poised to embark on the following translation and production initiatives:
Hindi Language Translation
The understanding of the predominance of the Hindi language in India, States/Union territories of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, inspired us to translate the Rhapsody Bible to the Hindi language, for greater penetration of the Gospel in those regions.
Mandarin Translation
Mandarin is the official language of China, spoken across most of northern and southwestern China. Mandarin has more native speakers than any other language on Earth. It is spoken by over 960 million people, which represent 15% of the earth’s population. This makes the Rhapsody Bible in Mandarin highly significant to our Ministry and the Body of Christ as a whole.
Shona Translation
Our goal to take Bibles to places where there is an established need, and to facilitate the missionary work of the Gospel in regions beyond, informed our intent to translate the Rhapsody Bible to Shona, a language spoken by over 10 Million people in the nation of Zimbabwe. This project will also aid the elimination of perversions in the existing translation of the Shona Bible.
Greek Language Translation
The appreciation of the influence of the Greek language, spoken by several million majorly in Greece, has made it necessary for us to translate the Rhapsody of Realities Devotional Study Bible to the Greek language. It is estimated that over 8 million people will be reached through the availability of the Rhapsody Bible in Greek.
Teens Bible Production
At this very crucial age, it is of the essence for teenagers to understand God’s Word, which will guide them always to make the right decisions. The recognition of this fact informed our decision to produce the Teen’s Bible for teenagers all around the world.
Children’s Bible Production
The Bible enjoins us to train our children in the way of the Lord. Hence, we are inspired to make the Rhapsody Bible available to children. This will ensure that they receive the sincere milk of God’s Word to nurture and give them a good start in life.
