You Can Enjoy the Good of the Land
The reason most folks only experience the ‘bad’ of the land is that, that’s all they see.
When you spend more time reading newspapers and junk magazines instead of God’s Word, of course, that’s all you’ll see! “
Twelve shot dead.” “Fifty killed in a boat mishap.” “Two hundred and seventy perish in a plane crash.” Terrible I tell you, but the Bible says there’s good in the land; “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land”
(Isaiah 1:19).
Irrespective of what your situation may be, the Word of God will always remain the same; it’ll never change. You may be living in the poorest nations of the world, however, the Bible says there’s plenty of good right there for you to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17). Moreover, you must be born again in order to qualify for the good of the land.
You can have hope in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. So don’t look down, cheer up! Don’t think death, think life because there’s hope for you in Christ. It makes no difference what the situation is, you can boldly say, “Thank God for hope in Christ!” God chose you and filled you with His Spirit and His Word so you can make a positive impact on your generation. He wants you to shine as a light to your world (Matthew 5:14). He wants you to sow yourself into somebody else’s life. In other words, He wants you to invest some of the things He has deposited in you into somebody else’s life.
When you invest what God gave you into someone else’s life, you’re promoted in the realm of the spirit. However, you can’t give what you don’t have. If you haven’t invested in yourself, you can’t invest anything in someone else. Therefore, you must release yourself to the Holy Spirit, allow Him to train and build you in the Word of God until the character of your heavenly Father becomes evident in your life. Also, you must learn to pray with passion for lost souls, both in your understanding and in other tongues. These are the things that will engender a greater influence of the Holy Spirit in your life, and His fire will burn so much in your heart that everyone that comes around you catches the fire and is influenced positively for Jesus. Hallelujah!
