Faith, Faith & Hope

You Can Have What You Say

One of the things the Holy Spirit does in your life as a Christian is to help you tame your tongue. You may not make spiritual advancement, as you ought to until you allow Him to help you tame your tongue.

It doesn’t matter how long you talk in other tongues or your position in your local church, if you aren’t able to control your tongue, then you’re a spiritual babe. The mature Christian is the one who has mastered the use of his tongue and doesn’t err with his words.

Instead he speaks faith filled words, knowing how powerful the tongue is, he channels it to speak the right words, words that create, repair, rebuild, and uplifts one’s spirit. The world can’t withstand that faith power in you. That means you live in victory by speaking faith-filled words.

Your faith subdues the world and its systems. You nullify whatever policy or law made to work against you in this world by your faith-filled words. But sadly, Some folks like to criticize those who believe in the message of faith, calling them the “name-it-and-claim-it” bunch. “How can you believe that by merely saying something is yours, it becomes yours?” they query derogatorily. Well, guess what? That’s exactly what the Bible says! You can have whatever you say.

The Lord Jesus was unequivocal in His statement in the opening Scripture about the power of confessions made from a heart that is full of faith. He said “whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea;” that lets me know He’s talking about you and me since “whosoever” is a ‘blank cheque!’ Secondly, the Master said “…and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith”. So, if you make your faith declarations and do not doubt in your heart, you are guaranteed to get the result.

When Jesus cursed the fig tree, nothing seemed to have happened to it on the outside. However, the Master knew that the faith of God doesn’t require such evidence. He said what He wanted to see and walked away–-He “named it and claimed it and it came to pass!”
